Strange thing: I knew italian civilization began in west peninsula, on Tirreno coast with Etruscans and the Romans; in the south-west, (Sicily and Calabria) arrived Greeks and in Sardegna Nuraghi and Phoenicians.<BR/><BR/>I didn't know that Ancona had archaeological reamains, but probably it was an important harbor to sail to Greek, as it is now: i took the ferry to Patrah in 1990, when i spent my holidays near Kalamata.piernoreply@blogger.com
