Hi,
Do you know if the musueum is open for tourists now? I am hoping to visit it in April/May when I go back to Saqqara with my husband.
Thanks,
Di

Hello Di

Off the top of my head I don't know, and I haven't been out that way for over a year. However, I have asked a friend who has probably got the information to hand, so I will let you know when he updates me.

All the best

Hello Di

My friend, who was in Saqqara in January, says that it wasn't open then, so I wouldn't hold out any great hopes for it being open when you visit.

All the best

The Imhotep Museum is now open in Saqqara and is really lovely. I visited in November 2006, and there is a link to some photographs from the museum in the right hand Links list.
Cheers
