Archaeology mingles with art in ballet

A new ballet from the Bolshoi, The Pharaoh's Daughter, is reviewed in the article entitled Archaeology Mingles With Art to Conjure Up Old Egypt. To be honest, there is precious little about either archaeology or Old Egypt, in spite of the title, but the ballet's plot amused me so I thought I would share it: "After Lord Wilson, an English explorer, escapes a storm by taking shelter in the tomb of Aspicia, the pharaoh's daughter, he smokes opium and falls asleep. Aspicia comes to life, touches his heart, and he is transformed into the dashing Egyptian Ta-Hor". This article is really a review of the ballet (not flattering), but for those interested in reading more, see the above URL.
