Problems at Swaffham Museum

"A £384,000 improvement scheme for Swaffham Museum has run into a further delay because of structural problems at the town hall. The scheme, which should transform the museum's displays, including that on famous Egyptologist Howard Carter, was originally intended to have been completed by now". Carter spent most of his childhood in Swaffham (Norfolk, UK) before taking up the opportunity offered to him, via local collectors Lord and Lady Amherst, to go to Egypt as a trainee tracer, at the age of seventeen.
