"More than 150,000 people visited the Louvre exhibition in Canberra earlier this year and Art Gallery of SA director Christopher Menz is anticipating similar numbers during its three-month stay in Adelaide. With 500 individual objects making up more than 200 displays, the exhibition is 'certainly the biggest and most complex we've ever had in this new wing', Menz says.
Staff from the Louvre have worked alongside those from the Art Gallery over the past 10 days to install the exhibition. Selected from 60,000 objects in the Louvre's Egyptian collection, the exhibition is subtitled Journey to the Afterlife."
