Hi Andie,

Do you have any other photos showing more of the last scene? It's beautiful! Thank you!

Yesterday I excavated all my Egypt photo albums from the loft. These were all scanned from conventional print photographs taken on my old Canon EOS5 non-digital SLR in 2002. So I'll have a look, Kat, and see if I have any other pictures of the scene. I'll email them over to you if I do.

None of these images have actually been altered in image editing software, although I am always quite happy to do so if the image can be improved to make it more useful. On this occasion I was just lucky to have good light at a good angle, and I had a good quality lens on the Canon.

I've bought a good digital SLR since then (another Canon), so life is somewhat easier. It takes a silly amount of time to digitize prints!

Sorry Kat! Not so heroic after all. I've been through the photo album concerned and this is the only photograph I took of this scene. I was in Egypt for three weeks, mostly in places I had never visitied previously, and by the time we got to Luxor for the last couple of days I was having to ration my film. Digital allows a lot more self indulgence! It is such a stiking image, however, that it may be possible to track it down elsewhere - I'll see what I've got in books etc at home.
