The Bibliotheca Alexandrina celebrates its fifth anniversary

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) celebrates on October 23, 2007 its fifth anniversary.

The (BA) Director Dr. Ismail Serag El-Din, stated on 19/10/2007 that the (BA) works since its inauguration to enrich its possessions by more editions and modern intellectual and scientific and rare publications.

Serag El-Din said that this year's celebration will witness placing the book number 555.555 on the library's shelves which is distinguished by its being a rare edition published in Germany in the 16th century of Euclid's famous book "The Elements" which he wrote in the 3rd century BC.
