Everyone thinks they know what Tutankhamum looks like: high cheek bones, large, almond shaped eyes, bizarre rope-like beard ... and just a little bit weedy.
But is this perception of the Boy King true?
With the famous death mask due back in this country next month, C5's award-winning historical documentary series concluded its run with an investigation of the most famous pharaoh since Boris Karloff opened a case of surgical bandage.
And who better to present it than Lord Carnarvon, the great grandson of the archaeologist who discovered the tomb in 1922?
Using computer graphics, new historical research and fresh archaelogical discoveries, George Herbert exploded pre-conceived wisdom about King Tut with an enthusiasm which was instantly engaging.

Dear Mary Crowther, Mirfield, Egypt Club:
Thanks for the firmly slapped wrist and the awesomely judgemental tone.
And heaps of apologies that I didn't read the article under discussion with your precision. I would just like to point out that the facts quoted are not mine - that's what the quotation mark is for - but I accept that I should have picked up on the error. You are quite right - the famous death mask is not part of the exhibition.
I update my blog mainly for fun, but also because it seems to provide a useful supply of information to people who don't have the time to look up these news items themselves. For most of the time this is a rewarding and painless task. Fortunately for me, there are people who accept that I do occasionally fail to filter out mistakes, but who like the fact that I do my best to cover the main news in this field. I am sorry that it's not good enough for you.
Cheers
Andie

It's really no big deal, and Mary should check her spelling of "comeing".
