Cooperation with UNESCO to document archeological manuscripts

Head of the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTANT) said that CULTANT cooperated with UNESCO and Al-Azhar to document 434 astronomy manuscripts and research.

He added that the project aims to document the Arab and Islamic civilization in the filed of astronomy.

The project also tackled works of astronomy scientists including: el-Hamazani, el-Bironi, Ibn Younes, el-Sofi, Bozgani and others.

CULTANT issued a book on the astronomy science and its theoretical and practical aspects. The book discussed the various inventions of the instruments used in the observation operations including: sundial, Water watch, Aster lap and the Pandol which was discovered by the Egyptian scientist Ibn Younes.
