EES email newsletter

The Egypt Exploration Society have launched their new email newsletter for members. Key points from the newsletter are as follows:

  • The EES website is undergoing a revamp, and the team behind it are working to see how they can use the advantages of the Web to communicate more effectively with interested parties. As part of the new offering they are offering a new EES news blog using the Tumblr blog service
  • Upcoming lecture: The Tomb of Harwa: A monument of the Egyptian Renaissance. A lecture by Dr Francesco Tiradritti. Friday 11 July, 6.30 – 9 pm.The Society of Antiquaries, Burlington House, London W1J 0BE.
  • Upcoming Study Day: The Men of the Gang. The village of Deir el Medina and its inhabitants, Saturday 25 October. The Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre, School of Oriental and African Studies, Thornhaugh St, Russell Square, London WC1H 0XG.
  • The Society now has a page on Facebook (which has attracted over 500 members since its launch in April this year)
