The Royal BC Museum in Victoria, British Columbia announced on September 29, 2008 that the Canadian institution is hosting a greatly expanded version of Treasures: The World's Cultures from the British Museum (May 3-September 30, 2009).
More than 300 artifacts and works of art from prehistoric times to the present day illustrate how different cultures developed and interacted over millennia. The objects on display, artistic, ceremonial, decorative and functional in nature, demonstrate various civilizations' achievements during the course of thousands of years.
Treasures... arrives at the RBCM after a successful tour of nine Japanese, Korean and Chinese cities.
