My husband and I visited Luxor in November 2009 of this year. We found the area to be be a wonderful and facinating, however, we felt the East bank of Luxor could be even better... if city leaders would ban cars, trucks, and buses in the El Corniche area---- --specifically along the road running adjacent to the Nile River and going around Luxor Temple then on to Karnak Temple.

Please...Limit this area to horse and carriage only---it would be soooooo much nicer.

Use cars and buses for airport-hotel transfers only;

Trucks for essential deliveries only. Ban all the rest.

Protect your "green" archeological zones --- Keep them pollution-free and quiet. Severely limit buses,trucks, and cars.

That will enable the tourist to better envision ancient times as it was 'back in the day' ---conveying a whole experience for the tourist.

Thanks for allowing us to add our 2 cents worth of advise.
We hope you will adopt these ideas as we plan to return again soon.
