Photo for Today - more from the Temple of Luxor

It seemed a trifle insensitive to post a daily photograph of a calm and somewhat idyllic Egypt whilst people were being seriously injured in Cairo and elsewhere, but it is such a useful device to split one day from another that now that violent activities have been abandoned I have decided to start it again.

A small statue of Ramesses's favourite wife Nefertari
beside the legs of one of his standing statues.

With thanks to John Bosworth for the photo and text.
