Photo for Today - Sekhmet Fountain, Hearst Castle

Sekhmet statues incorporated into decorative fountain
at Hearst Castle, San Simeon, California

With many thanks to Patrick F. Houlihan for sending
me this to use.  It's remarkable how something taken out
of its original context can be so completely reinterpreted in the light
of a different set of aesthetic values.

what is the red stripe on the upper figure? is this a repair or a natural inclusion in the stone?

Kat, I'll dig the original file off my laptop (much, much larger) and send it to you.
