Germany to return Old Kingdom statue to Egypt

Earth Times
Hildesheim Museum in Germany has agreed to return a key statue to be showcased at the Grand Museum of Egypt, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Zahi Hawass said Monday. Cheops Pyramid engineer Hemi-unu's statue, moved to Germany in 1912, is among five other rare antiques we managed to restore to showcase temporarily at the Grand Museum of Egypt, Hawass added.

It is unclear from the brief article on the above page whether or not the statue is to be returned on a permanent basis or if it is only being supplied on loan to Egypt.
