Yes, captions would be good.
Sadly Bob doesn't have the time to provide them and I don't have the time to look them up. In the past I have provided captions to photographs but it takes so much time to look them up if I can't remember the details precisely, and with Bob's photographs I don't want to take a chance on getting it wrong.
I'm truly sorry, because I agree with you, but I'm afraid that the location and name of the site will have to be suffice. That should be enough for anyone to do further research if they are particularly interested in a specific photograph.
There are several excellent sites on the web and some great guide books which could help, and I can supply a list of those if that would assist.
