Iberian Peninsula Society - new branch of the AIA

The website for the Iberian branch of the prestigious Archaeological Institute of America, which officially came into being in January 2007, is now up and running at the above address. The first meeting of the Iberian Peninsula Society will be on April 12, 2007 at 18:00 at the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia in Belem. The organizers will be formally introducing the society to both members and non-members, presenting the society and introducing who they, their committees, some of their goals, and in what capacity the society can and will be involved in archaeological research and promotion, and what sort of work is expected to be accomplished over the next 3 years.
Wishing them the very best of luck - it is always great to see a new Egyptology society take off.
