State Information Service

The discovery of the mummy of ancient Egyptian queen Hetshpseut has sparked a pharaoh-mania in Europe and the United States. A DNA test has proven that amummy discovered in 1903 and moved to Egypt only in 2006 that it belonged to the pharaohnic queen who ruled Egypt for 22 years with an iron fist. In the United States, three Hetshpseut statues are the first to meet the visitor's eyes at the famed Metropolitan Museum. An American Egyptologist, however, said that archaeologists must be cautious in conducting DNA tests on mummies.
