"Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak and Prince Charles, Crown Prince of Britain, will co-inaugurate next Tuesday 13/11/2007 the exhibition of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamun in London, which will co-inaugurate for the public 14/11/2007", said Culture Minister Farouq Hosni.
He added that the British museum will organize a party for top British figures and guests to launch an international fund raising campaign to build Suzanne Mubarak's museum for children. Zahi Hawass will speak about the project in details in an international press conference.
The exhibition goes to the UK for the first time in 35 years under the title "King Tutankhamen and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs". The exhibition is to be opened at the largest modern artistic complex in London known as the O2 or the Millennium Dome.
He said that the exhibition will include approximately 130 objects from the tomb of King Tut and other valley of the King Ancestors. Most of the 130 objects in the current exhibition have never before been seen in the United States and were not included in the 1972 exhibition. Tomorrow 4 famous landmarks in London will be lighted in golden lights to imitate the yellow metal of Tutankhamen. The 4 landmarks are: London Tower, Millennium wheel, Willington Arches and Auto Yard. The organizers of the exhibition sold 325000 entering ticket.
