Trivia: Video teaser for movie Agora

comingsoon.net

There's a video teaser for the new movie Agora, starring Rachel Weisz, on the above page. It is the first I've heard of the film so I had a look at it. As far as I can tell from the series of action clips it is an epic - lots of dramatic music, crowd scenes, waving of swords, dramatic lighting and mock ancient Egyptian sets. There's not much else to see in this clip but it give you a sense of the character of the movie.

Here's the caption:

An international teaser trailer for Alejandro Amenabar's Agora, starring Rachel Weisz, is now online and can be watched using the player below (make sure to hit the 'HQ' button in the lower right-hand side of the player to watch in high quality). Set in Roman Egypt in the fourth century A.D., Weisz plays astrologer-philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria, who fights to save the collected wisdom of the ancient world. Her slave Davus (Max Minghella) is torn between his love for his mistress and the possibility of gaining his freedom by joining the rising tide of Christianity.
